Big O Tires on Newport Road in Menifee handles the routine maintenance and tire work that keeps daily drivers on the road — brake service, alignments, oil changes, batteries, and the core tire selection and installation work the name signals. The shop operates as a multi-bay operation rather than a single-bay independent, which means faster turnaround on standard jobs and the ability to handle multiple vehicles in a day. Drivers choose Big O over a dealership service department mainly for price transparency and straightforward work on domestic and foreign sedans, trucks, and SUVs under warranty or out of it. The national chain structure means pricing is posted and consistent, warranty work is handled in-house, and a customer waiting for brake service isn't subsidizing dealer markup. For transmission rebuilds, engine work, or restoration on a classic, this isn't the shop. For a homeowner maintaining a Honda, Ford, or Toyota through its useful life without dealer service fees, Big O fills that practical role in the Menifee commercial strip where most residents already handle errands.

Knights of the Roadside Garage operates as a multi-bay independent shop on Antelope Road in Menifee, handling the full range of routine automotive work — brakes, suspension, electrical diagnostics, tire service, general maintenance, and smog inspections — rather than specializing in a single system or vehicle type. The operation suits daily drivers and standard passenger cars more than exotic or high-performance builds, and handles both domestic and foreign makes without the dealer-service markup or the national-chain wait times that come with formula scheduling. Owners and managers choose independents like this over dealer service departments primarily for cost transparency and relationship continuity; the same technicians see the same cars across multiple years rather than a rotating dispatch. For someone driving a ten-year-old sedan that needs consistent but unglamorous work — new pads, filter changes, belt replacements, inspection prep — this is the realistic alternative to the dealership's diagnostic fees and dealer-parts pricing. Fleet operators and small-business owners with multiple vehicles also fit the independent model, where volume discounts and quick turnarounds matter more than warranty-work bookkeeping.

Miranda Tires & Wheels on Ethanac Road in Menifee handles the tire-focused side of automotive service — tire sales, mounting, balancing, alignments, and suspension work — rather than the full engine-and-transmission scope of a multi-bay general shop. The operation sits in the specialist lane: drivers who need tires replaced or suspension sorted don't require a dealer appointment or a national chain's wait times. The clientele runs across daily drivers maintaining worn tires, owners upgrading to a different wheel setup, and anyone whose alignment drifted after hitting a pothole on the rough stretch of Menifee's roads. For complex engine diagnostics, transmission rebuilds, or warranty work tied to a dealer, those jobs belong elsewhere. For a straightforward tire replacement, rotation, or alignment on a sedan, truck, or SUV — the kind of work that doesn't demand a full diagnostic — Miranda fits the direct-call choice most Menifee residents default to when they need wheels sorted without the franchise hold time.
I had a very disappointing experience at Miranda Tires & Wheels. I came in expecting professional service, but instead I dealt with poor communication, lack of transparency, and an overall careless attitude toward my time and vehicle. Don’t waste your time here
Very attentive and took care of my tire with a nail in it and fixed it . Did rotation and alignment. Very professional and knowledgeable they also do shocks and services I asked
They'll bend your rim and then say they didn't do it when there's clearly a mark from the machine. The old tire didn't leak air but a brand new tire is because the rim wasn't bent before they touched it. Been going here for years but not anymore.
What Locals Know
Menifee's newer suburban growth and commute-heavy corridors mean local drivers rotate tires frequently and encounter brake wear faster than Wine Country residents. Tire shops here compete directly with dealer service departments on price and convenience — locals often choose independent shops to avoid dealer markup on routine maintenance.
