Dr. Rolf R. Drinhaus operates a medical practice on Hancock Avenue in Murrieta, serving the broader Temecula Valley and surrounding communities. The practice handles general internal medicine and primary care — the kind of appointment-based office where established patients manage chronic conditions, receive preventive screenings, and get referrals to specialists when needed. This is not an urgent-care walk-in; it's a traditional primary-care model built around continuity with a single provider. The patient base skews toward adults managing ongoing health needs rather than acute episodic care, and toward those with insurance coverage and established provider relationships. For residents new to the area or changing providers, Drinhaus takes new patients through standard medical-office channels — insurance verification, chart transfer, first-appointment paperwork. For anyone in the valley without a primary-care anchor or needing a doctor who knows their history and medication list, an established internal-medicine practice like this fills that role more efficiently than urgent care or emergency department visits would.
Livingwater's Medical Clinic operates as a primary care practice in Murrieta, serving the general medical needs of adult and family patients across the city and surrounding valley communities. As an independent clinic rather than part of a larger hospital system or regional network, the practice handles routine checkups, acute care visits, chronic disease management, and preventive medicine in a smaller-group setting where continuity with the same provider is the operational model rather than the exception. The practice suits residents who prefer a stable doctor-patient relationship over the rotation common at larger urgent-care chains or hospital-affiliated clinics. Insurance acceptance varies by plan; calling ahead to confirm coverage before the first visit is standard practice with independent medical offices. For specialists (cardiology, orthopedics, dermatology) or hospital-level care, patients would be referred out; Livingwater's sits in the first-contact lane for the everyday medical questions and preventive care that keep most people out of the ER.

Valley Internal Physicians operates as an internal medicine practice on Jefferson Avenue in Murrieta, serving adult patients in the central valley corridor. The focus is primary care and chronic disease management—the kind of ongoing relationship-based medicine that suits residents managing hypertension, diabetes, or routine preventive screening rather than acute walk-in needs. As a smaller practice rather than a large regional system, the structure allows more direct scheduling access than hospital-affiliated clinics often provide. The patient base skews toward established adults seeking continuity of care with a single provider rather than a rotating clinic model. For residents new to Murrieta or changing doctors, this fits the traditional private-practice lane—someone who wants to build a long-term relationship with an internist who handles refills, coordinates specialist referrals, and knows their medical history across visits. For urgent same-day needs or pediatric care, the urgent care chains and family medicine clinics elsewhere in town serve that faster-turnover role.
It takes 4 months to get an appointment with Dr. Black. That's good for him but bad for me. It takes 30 days or so to get an appointment with the PA or NP. This forces me to go to Urgent Care of the ER. Once again, not good for me.
The staff are calm and professional. My salute to Miss Lupita for her clear verbal communication to me whenever I see her.
Everyone is always so helpful at this office. They do what they can to actually help you and they actually care. Dr Black you have an amazing staff! And I love your doggy
What Locals Know
Murrieta's growing retiree population and commuter workforce depend heavily on reliable primary care for ongoing management of hypertension, diabetes, and cardiac issues. Solo and small internal medicine practices in this area often have long patient wait lists and limited same-day capacity — advance planning for routine visits is standard.
