David Chaich Electrical/Mechanical is a state-licensed electrical contractor based in Winchester, holding an active CSLB C-10 license (#942449) in good standing, verified against the California Contractors State License Board in July 2026. Contact them directly for quotes and current availability.

Thomas Electrical Contracting operates out of Winchester's Dutch Village neighborhood, handling residential electrical work across the Winchester and surrounding areas. The scope spans routine service calls—outlet repairs, switch replacements, troubleshooting dead circuits—alongside larger projects like panel upgrades, EV charger installations, recessed lighting, ceiling fans, and generator hookups. The mix leans toward existing homes needing system updates rather than new-construction wiring. Winchester's older housing stock drives steady demand for panel upgrades, especially as residents add modern loads—HVAC replacements, electric vehicle charging, updated kitchen appliances—that stretch aging electrical systems. For homeowners choosing between a larger regional contractor and a local operator based in the same neighborhood, Thomas represents the direct-call option: someone already familiar with the Dutch Village area and its common electrical infrastructure. Service work and emergency repairs fill the schedule alongside the bigger jobs; new construction and commercial work fall outside the typical scope.

JAV Electric operates on Winchester Road in Winchester, handling residential electrical work across the valley — panel upgrades, service calls, rewiring, outlet and lighting installs, generator hookups, and the growing list of EV charger installations that newer homes in south Temecula and north Murrieta neighborhoods increasingly demand. The scope runs from emergency repair to planned upgrades, service work more than new-construction rough-in. Homeowners in older Winchester and Wildomar properties often call for panel capacity increases as air conditioning and electric appliances strain aging 100-amp services; residents in Harveston and Redhawk tract homes typically need EV charger hookup or solar tie-in wiring. A local operator on an existing street means faster dispatch for a downed circuit or weekend outage than waiting for a larger contractor's route. Insurance and licensing status should be verified on any estimate — standard practice for electrical work where permit and code compliance directly affect home value and safety.
I called Homewyse Electric first because I had satisfactorly used them a couple years ago. After 3 days of messing around with them, I called JAV last night. They had their man here this morning. He fixed my problem in about a half hour at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them 😁
Robert and John came out and installed 2 outdoor lights and replaced a dimmer switch. I’ve used JAV Electric for 3 electrical projects at my home and every time I am 100% pleased with the work he and his employees perform. Always a customer for life. Thank you Douglas
It was a good experience with JAV Electric. The electrician new what he was doing an replaced the main breaker in my electric panel. He fixed a couple other issues for me an answered all my questions. He was a fast an efficient worker. The price was right an I would use JAV Electric again.
What Locals Know
Winchester's housing stock spans decades — older homes often need panel capacity upgrades before any major electrical work, while newer builds increasingly demand EV charger-ready service. Hard water and valley heat stress outdoor equipment, making proper grounding and weatherproofing critical to system longevity.
