Corky's Kitchen and Bakery combines a casual restaurant and on-site bakery in Perris, operating as the kind of neighborhood spot where the bakery counter is visible from the dining room and the smell of fresh baking sets the room's atmosphere. The cuisine leans toward American comfort food paired with house-made pastries and baked goods — a format that's as much about the bakery identity as it is the prepared-food side, which means the room tends quieter and steadier than a high-turnover casual-dining chain. The crowd skews toward families with younger kids, morning regulars grabbing coffee and a pastry before work, and midday diners treating the bakery as a reason to linger over lunch rather than rush through it. The pace is relaxed; it's a place where people sit without pressure. For a special-occasion dinner or a trendy night out, this isn't the target. For a weekday breakfast with fresh baked goods, a casual lunch where the dessert is made on the premises, or taking a box of pastries home, Corky's fits the neighborhood-cafe role most Perris residents recognize.

Bombshelter Restaurant & Bar occupies a casual, unpretentious space on Goetz Road in Perris — the kind of neighborhood spot built around American comfort food and a social bar atmosphere rather than fine dining. The room draws a mixed crowd of regulars, families on weeknight dinners, and groups stopping in for drinks and food without ceremony. Pace is steady and conversational, the kind of place where conversation carries over the ambient noise rather than getting swallowed by it. The format suits weeknight family dinners, groups gathering for casual celebration, and the after-work crowd looking for a straightforward meal and a drink without pretense or reservation requirements. It reads more as a neighborhood anchor than a destination restaurant — the sort of establishment where residents pick it because it's reliable, nearby, and comfortable rather than because it's known for a specific cuisine or chef's vision. For a quiet date night or a special-occasion dinner, the energy and setting wouldn't fit that brief. For a relaxed evening out where food, drinks, and company matter equally, this fills that practical slot.

Casa Jimenez Perris occupies a casual Mexican restaurant space on Wilkerson Avenue in Perris — the kind of neighborhood spot where the room feels lived-in rather than polished, with a steady mix of families, regulars, and groups gathering for lunch or dinner. The pace is relaxed and unhurried, suited to lingering over a meal rather than quick table turns. Mexican cuisine anchors the menu in traditional territory, drawing the kind of crowd that knows what they want and returns often. The setting works well for weeknight family dinners, casual lunch groups, and occasions where the point is the food and company rather than the room itself. For a date night requiring quieter ambiance or a special-occasion celebration calling for formal service, other venues suit that mood better. For straightforward, unpretentious Mexican dining in a Perris neighborhood setting, Casa Jimenez fills that regular-visit role — the kind of place where staff recognize faces and the draw is consistency rather than novelty.
2nd time there, first time ordering carnitas plate. Meat was super dry. The kind waitress change my meat once and I didn’t want it to be changed again. I don’t want my food to be spit on, like on t.v. The first carnitas were even more dry. Every thing else was ok.
Food was awesome! It is difficult to find good Mexican food this far from LA. This place was great. Salsa was perfect. Had flavor and the right amount of spice. Drinks were good too.
Service was great! Food was okay. I knew I was going to be slightly disappointed when I ordered two Chili Relleno's and in literally less than 3 minutes, the order came out. Freshly made Chili Relleno's should take at least 25 minutes to prepare and cook. Rice was alright and the beans were deliciou...
