Himalayan Grill & Curry sits on Murrieta Hot Springs Road and serves South Asian cuisine in a sit-down dining format — the kind of restaurant where the room leans toward warmth and moderate energy rather than bare minimalism or high-volume churn. The menu draws from the broader Himalayan/Indian culinary tradition, spanning curries, grilled proteins, rice dishes, and bread-based accompaniments typical of the category. The setting suits families with older kids, couples on a casual weeknight, and small groups gathering for a meal without the formality of fine dining. The pace tends unhurried; service moves at the speed of proper cooking rather than rapid turnover. For a quick lunch grab or a destination special-occasion dinner, other formats work better. For a relaxed dinner where the focus is good food in a straightforward, unpretentious room, this is the kind of neighborhood spot that builds a regular base among people who live or work nearby.

Applebee's Grill + Bar on Madison Avenue operates as a casual American dining spot in Murrieta — the kind of moderate-noise, brightly lit room suited to families with kids, groups of coworkers, and couples on a low-key weeknight out rather than a special occasion. The menu follows the familiar casual-dining template: burgers, sandwiches, pasta, ribs, and appetizers designed for sharing, with a full bar and happy-hour rotation that pulls the after-work crowd. The room reads approachable and unpretentious, neither quiet nor loud, with service paced for a standard weeknight meal rather than a lingering dinner. For birthday celebrations among friends or large groups splitting plates and drinks, this format suits that traffic. For a date night or anniversary dinner where ambiance and focused attention are the draw, the quieter independent spots elsewhere in Murrieta make a different case. This fills the practical slot: reliable, familiar, and already part of most residents' dining rotation.

Submarina California Subs operates from a fixed location on Murrieta Hot Springs Road, serving the submarine sandwich format — Italian meats, fresh toppings, oil-and-vinegar assembly — rather than the rotating-brewery-lot model that defines many food trucks in the region. The setup sits in a commercial strip where it functions as a lunch destination and quick dinner grab for the surrounding area rather than a festival-circuit operation. The format suits midday lunch breaks, casual family dinners, and anyone craving a loaded sub without the sit-down restaurant pace. The fixed-location anchor means more consistent availability than trucks that change lots daily, though checking social media or calling ahead still makes sense for confirmation. For Wine Country events or brewery rotations, other trucks fill that niche. For a reliable lunch-hour stop on Murrieta Hot Springs Road, Submarina anchors that commercial strip's casual-food options.
Submarina use to be around the corner now it's a ten minute drive and I still go at least once week. They never disappoint, wish I knew the two young ladies names that are always there when I go. Customer service is beyond amazing and the way they make the sandwiches, omg!!! Sandwiches here taste fr...
My new favorite spot. The employees are super nice. The sandwiches are amazing, they are packed with meat and all the fixings. This location is hands down better than subway and the other guys. Next time you need a sub the Marina is where you should be. Don't deny your self of an amazing sandwich.
This little sandwich shop is tucked into a shopping center off the freeway. They have a great smell from the moment you walk in. The breads are soft and flavorful. Lots of good and fresh ingredients. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back for more sandwiches.
