Semester of Service - EducationUSA Strategic Communications and Data Analysis Volunteer

Applicants will be considered based on their knowledge, skills or abilities related to project needs. Specifically, applicants should: Written and Verbal Communication skills Data Analysis Technical Proficiency: Skills in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Graphic Design (Preferred): Experience with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva). Make an impact while you learn. The Semester of Service Program offers students a volunteer project-based opportunity to support Federal missions, gaining hands-on experience & valuable career-ready skills. Students must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited trade school, technical or vocational institute, junior college, college, university, or other accredited educational institution & participation must be with the permission of the institution at which the student is enrolled.

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) seek a motivated volunteer to support the EducationUSA program in promoting U.S. educational exports to international markets. EducationUSA serves as the U.S. Department of State's official source on U.S. higher education, operating a network of over 400 advising centers in more than 170 countries worldwide. The project provides an opportunity to contribute to America's educational diplomacy efforts by enhancing strategic communications that support communication products that advance key administration priorities, including digital freedom, STEM, AI, and critical emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Communications Support: Assist in developing and designing communication materials including one-pagers, presentations, and other visual communication tools that effectively convey program information and impact. Data Analysis and Modernization Efforts: Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing EducationUSA center data. Provide modernization support to improve data management processes. Assist in utilizing systems and tools to collate and organize spreadsheet data from multiple sources.
