Nenas Sweetcreations operates as a custom cake and dessert-focused bakery on West Florida Avenue in central Hemet, positioned toward special-occasion orders rather than a walk-in pastry counter or sit-down cafe format. The operation centers on decorated cakes — birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations — where customers place orders in advance and pick up finished work, though the storefront likely carries case items for same-day purchase as well. The business suits families planning a birthday party, couples marking an anniversary, and event hosts who need a custom centerpiece dessert rather than a grocery-store sheet cake. For weekday morning coffee-and-pastry runs or a quick Saturday croissant, the dedicated bakery cafes elsewhere in town are more convenient. For a personalized cake that reflects the specific occasion or incorporates custom details, the advance-order model Nenas Sweetcreations operates is exactly the lane where custom work happens.

Walmart Bakery operates as an in-store counter within the larger Sanderson Avenue Walmart location in Hemet — a convenience-focused operation rather than a standalone destination bakery. The focus is on everyday cake and cupcake decorating, sheet cakes for casual events, cookie platters, and quick-turn custom work alongside standard case items. It's the format built for last-minute birthday cakes, office party orders, and grab-and-go bakery staples rather than heirloom wedding tiers or artisan sourdough. The setup suits shoppers already at Walmart who need a cake for that weekend birthday, families wanting a simple decorated sheet cake without a specialty-bakery timeline, and parents picking up a dozen cupcakes for a school event. For multi-tier wedding cakes or hand-laminated croissants, the dedicated independent bakeries elsewhere in Hemet are the better fit. For the routine event cake that needs to be ready in a couple of days and fits a modest budget, this counter delivers exactly what most casual occasions call for.

Lucky's Donuts & Ice Cream operates as a counter-service spot on East Stetson Avenue in central Hemet, focused on the quick-grab morning and afternoon trade rather than sit-down cafe dining. The operation centers on donuts and ice cream — straightforward daily items for breakfast runs, after-school stops, and weekend treats, with the case stocked for impulse purchase rather than custom order. The format suits families with kids, commuters grabbing breakfast before work, and groups stopping in for a cold dessert on a warm afternoon. Stetson Avenue runs through the commercial core where Hemet residents already cluster for errands, making this the kind of place that catches traffic naturally rather than requiring a dedicated trip. For custom-decorated cakes or tiered wedding orders, the specialized cake shops elsewhere in town handle that tier. For a boxed dozen donuts to bring to the office, a cone on a summer evening, or a sugar hit between other errands, Lucky's fills that casual, everyday slot.
Found out they double their prices at night. Hello kitty donuts are normally $1.50. At night they charged us $3.00. Lately they’ve not had any jellies or other types of donuts. Very dissatisfied. They used to be the best donut shop.
Families gather here for local donuts and drinks. Family owned and operated. We frequent here often. They also have breakfast sandwiches. I would like to see banh mi sandwiches on the menu during lunch though. One can only hope.
WEIRDO STAFF! I’m sorry but the customer service is really off here. The staff are laughing at customers and are not the friendliest. I walked in past 9pm as I heard this is a 24/7 donut shop. Wow, was this visit a let down. The donut holes were too chewy and they weren’t fluffy, they seemed smushed...
What Locals Know
Hemet's Stetson Avenue corridor draws steady foot traffic from downtown shoppers and nearby errands — a bakery here succeeds on convenient drop-in service and reliable daily stock rather than advance-order cake work. Summer heat makes ice cream a competitive draw alongside pastries.
