Truth Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church operates on 1st Street in Hemet as a Pentecostal congregation, part of the tradition emphasizing Spirit-filled worship, spontaneous prayer, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit — distinct from the more liturgical or hymnal-focused mainline Protestant churches also present in the valley. The service style centers on expressive, participatory worship rather than scripted or formal ceremony. The community that gathers here includes families, multigenerational households, and individuals drawn to Pentecostal theology and worship practice. For newcomers unfamiliar with Pentecostal tradition, the energy and spontaneity of the room may feel markedly different from denominational churches where services follow a set order. Those already familiar with this tradition or seeking a congregation rooted in Spirit-emphasis worship find a stable local option on Hemet's 1st Street corridor rather than a considerable drive into other parts of the valley.

Trinity Lutheran Church sits on Columbia Street in Hemet as a mainline Protestant congregation rooted in Lutheran tradition. The service style leans toward a blend of traditional structure and contemporary elements rather than strictly liturgical or fully casual — hymns and spoken liturgy alongside guitar and vocal music. Services draw multi-generational families and long-term members, with an emphasis on community involvement and service work that extends beyond Sunday morning. The congregation suits families with school-age children, couples raising kids in a faith community, and adults seeking a mid-range worship experience between high-liturgical and purely contemporary formats. Newcomers tend to find the mixed-style approach accessible without feeling unfamiliar — familiar enough for people from Lutheran or mainline Protestant backgrounds, open enough for those exploring a new community. The rhythm of the church year (Advent, Lent, Easter) shapes the calendar in ways that appeal to people who value seasonal liturgical patterns. For those seeking exclusively traditional hymn-only worship or high-energy contemporary bands, other Hemet congregations of those stripes exist; Trinity occupies the practical middle ground that draws steady, committed membership.

St. John's is an Episcopal parish on Columbia Street in Hemet, rooted in the Anglican tradition of liturgical worship and sacramental practice. The Episcopal Church emphasizes structured, formal service — typically centered on the Book of Common Prayer, weekly Eucharist, and a blend of hymn and spoken word that appeals to worshippers who prefer ritual and continuity over improvisation. The room experience reflects this: measured pacing, responsive readings, an organ or choir, a focus on the service itself rather than contemporary production. The congregation draws multi-generational families, longtime mainline Protestants, and people seeking the contemplative space that liturgical practice provides. Those accustomed to evangelical contemporary worship or non-denominational settings will find a different rhythm here — one shaped by centuries of Anglican tradition rather than current-year praise music. For anyone raised in or drawn to high-church traditions, or simply looking for a worship community that values the historical cadence and theology of mainstream Protestantism, St. John's fills that specific slot in Hemet's religious landscape.
Went for Easter service and not 1 person said hello to me. Great childrens message. Felt odd that on Easter sunday that the reverand was not in a robe. I will try this church 2 more times and they can even garner a better review, however I hold no hope for the congregants.
Pastor is very thorough in his sermons, very detailed and gives your mind food for thought
Such a wonderful church with a great congregation, school through 8th grade and not to forget...the fantastic minister, Pastor Luke! He is down to earth, gives a very meaningful message and is there for you any time you call! Please visit St. Johns and see for yourself!
