About this position

Applicants will be considered based on their knowledge, skills or abilities related to project needs. Specifically, applicants should demonstrate: Academic interest/completed coursework in public health or occupational safety Ability to conduct policy research Experience with data analysis Experience with technical writing Make an impact while you learn. The Semester of Service Program offers students a volunteer project-based opportunity to support real Federal missions, gaining hands-on experience and career-ready skills. Students must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited trade school, technical/vocational institute, junior college, college, university, or other accredited educational institution. With this project, you'll support a policy-based project.
  • The duties of this internship may include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct public policy and public health initiatives research
  • Participate in data analysis of recent safety issues
  • Contribute to the revision of the agency safety and health handbook
